Kingspan's MICROHOME 2025 competition, organized by Buildner, returns with a prize pool of 100,000 EUR, championing innovative, eco-friendly solutions for small-scale living. This international contest challenges architects, designers, and visionaries to revolutionize the microhome concept.
Architects and designers are invited to register before the deadline on February 13 2025.
Participants are tasked with designing a modular, autonomous, and energy-efficient microhome not exceeding 25 square meters. Entrants are encouraged to explore groundbreaking ideas in design, functionality, and sustainability, tackling issues like urban overcrowding, cost-effectiveness, and environmental conservation.

Open to professionals and students alike, the competition serves as an exceptional platform for established architects and aspiring innovators. The competition seeks solutions that are innovative and functional, sustainable, affordable, and adaptable.
Prize funds
The total 100,000 EUR prize is distributed as follows:
-First prize: 40,000 EUR
-Second prize: 20,000 EUR
-Third prize: 10,000 EUR
-Buildner student award: 10,000 EUR
-Sustainability award: 10,000 EUR
-Kingspan award: 10,000 EUR (contestants incorporate Kingspan products to qualify).
