Dan West, industrial designer, worked with Chuck Saylor and Tod Babick to create izzydesign's inaugural Clara Furniture Collection in 2001.
Now principal designer at Haworth, West has more 18 years of industry experience including his work at Steelcase and izzydesign. He holds patents on the "boogie board" AKP, "one touch" overhead storage system, new officing concepts, and ancillary powered supports. He has designed and developed many award winning and patented products.
Tod Babick, industrial designer, worked with Chuck Saylor and Dan West to create izzydesign's inaugural Clara Furniture Collection in 2001. Now principal at Plow Design, Babick has served as design director, strategy director and staff designer for studios in Michigan and Rhode Island.
His recognitions include ID Magazine, Best of NeoCon, Time Magazine Ten Best Products of the Year and International Design Resource Awards Competition; his work is included in the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Chuck Saylor, founder of izzy+, has more than 21 patents and three decades of furniture industry experience, including senior management positions in marketing, design and sales with Haworth, Inc. and Knoll. Saylor partnered with designers West and Babick to create the inaugural Clara Furniture Collection for izzydesign.
In 1976, Saylor, Dick Haworth and Harold Wilson led the design and development of the first pre-wired steel panel system in the office furniture industry. His work currently is being shown at New York's Museum of Modern Art.
