The low-profile design of this FIT Series of fresh air appliances simplifies installations with limited mechanical space, such as over a false ceiling.
These fresh air appliances, the FIT 70E, the FIT 120E, the FIT 120E-D, the FIT 120E-D-EC, the FIT 120E-M, the FIT 120E-D-M, and the FIT 120E-D-EC-M, are designed for multi-family residential applications. These appliances bring a continuous supply of fresh air into the premises while exhausting an equal amount of contaminated air out. As such, the energy recovery core transfers both heat and moisture from the outgoing exhaust air to the incoming fresh air, reducing the energy required to condition it.
The FIT 120E-D (and its mirrored counterpart, the FIT 120E-D-M) houses an integrated mechanical shutoff damper. This damper prevents outside air from being pulled back into the space through the supply ductwork when the unit is in standby or defrost mode. Constructed of polymeric material, the damper is activated by a non fail-safe actuator.
The FIT 120E-D-EC (and its mirrored friend, the FIT 120E-D-EC-M) also has an integrated mechanical shutoff damper and is powered by EC (Electronically Commutated) motors.
