The new Eurospar is located in the urban area of Modena, in a very urban area. The façade design is based on this urban environment in terms of its scale and proportions. The formal solution of the facades and their materialization follows this basic idea and is intended to give the Eurospar a modern, urban appearance. The Eurospar works like an elevated market hall with a contemporary appearance.
The irregular arrangement of the vertical slats and their different alignment ensures a lively, attractive outer shell. The façade construction allows views in and out – “the dialogue with the city”.
The horizontal bands and the vertical slats also serve as sun protection and shade the market.
