GARDEN PAVILION
The existing building arrangement of the former agricultural property did not make an adequate outdoor space possible. The clients wish was to generate an outdoor space with an multifunctional garden pavilion. This was achieved in a rear area of the plot.
Along an open vestibul there are different outdoor usages situated. This vestibul ends in the elongated garden pavilion with its matt black textile skin an is used as completion of the garden.
Openings in the facade are contrasted with larch wood bordering. The terrace can be closed with a slideable board curtain to be protected from sun an wind. The building is open in western direction to gain as much evening sun as possible which was very important for the client.
The idea of the facade with the black color and the wood is transported into the interior as well. Because of the different usages (Sauna, events, swimming etc.) the decision was made to use a wear resistant mineral Coating as flooring. The furniture and the ceiling are mostly made of bright spruce contrasted with elements in black medium density fibreboard.
The few windows are always pointing towards special views of the surrounding landscape.
