This single-storey house, located on a terrace adjacent to Monte da Consolação, dominates the city of Braga and the distant horizon.
Below the garden, in the pedestrian access area, the excavated space of a water mirror and some granite masonry walls mark the entrance to the house, evoking a rural construction that once existed.
As opposed to the static and gravitational weight of the masonry, the cantilevered roof slabs, shelter and privatize the paved spaces on the perimeter of the house and plunge the walls and windows into shadows.
