Il Nido

Special Umbria Designers and project managers/interior designers として

What was the brief?
To create a comfortable unique family villa for this Dutch family, but also a interesting holiday villa for exclusive rentals.

What were the key challenges?
Make it unique design wise.

What materials did you choose and why?
We have chosen soft materials in combination with the harder materials like wood and iron. We tried to add quite some fabric and a soft color scheme.

Il Nido is the completion of a long time dream of a Dutch family to build their own holiday home in Italy. Il Nido has been a intensive, creative and satisfying journey in which we collaborated well with our clients. A few years ago during our holiday in Greece we got inspired by a certain place and we bought a design piece which now found a prominent position in the house. Around this we built the design. The house is a mix  of natural colors and natural materials which combines perfectly with the natural garden and the surroundings. The kitchen we are extremely happy with as our design has been perfectly made into reality by our local Carpenters Simone and Michele. It's perfection and for our guests the place where everyone is gathering all day long.
