The starting point of the PM project, signed by the office Gilda Meirelles Architecture,
was to create a refuge where clients could enjoy leisure time with family and friends. Located one hour from the city of São Paulo, the 600 m² property had the nature of its surroundings as its main inspiration.
The idea was to create wings interconnected by a glass gallery, providing direct contact with the
external garden in all environments. The materials used evoke traditional country houses, such as stone, wood, and earthy tones, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
The living and dining areas were integrated into a spacious veranda with a barbecue grill and an elegant and inviting rectangular pool. The house also features a TV room that can be used as a playroom for children, service rooms, laundry room, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The project focused on delimiting the intimate area from the socialization areas:
"It's a place where you can enjoy the calm and privacy of the intimate area and, at the same time, take advantage of the contact with family and friends in the living room, terrace, and pool," says Gilda Meirelles, the architect leading the office.
The flat topography of the terrain allowed for few interventions to be made. The local vegetation was preserved, enhancing the large trees of the condominium and prioritizing the efficient use of resources, both in terms of layout and sustainability.
The result was a true oasis in the countryside, where comfort and functionality merge with nature, providing a peaceful lifestyle and a place where residents and guests can create memories.
