The design of Urogynecology of Kansas City’s new space sought to achieve the goal of Tranquility Through Design. As part of the emotion and feeling that this new design would evoke, we wanted the patients to be able to leave their worries behind by curating the visual, auditory, and spatial flow through the space to create a calming, tranquil experience. Once inside, patients are guided around the core of the space and throughout their visit by a natural stone border that gives a spa-like feel and a serene presence. Development of the exterior was meant to separate the new use of the building from its fairly iconic past.
