Situated on the new Ambachtsezoom business park, we designed a circular wooden office building. The building is located next to the entrance to the business park and is enclosed by a green border of mature trees. The circular and energy-positive wooden office building is the new home of PCS gebouwautomatisering. The main structure consists of wooden columns, beams and CLT floors. Stability is obtained from a concrete core. A freely divisible floor plan is created around this core, with a podium with grandstand stairs for consultation and presentations in the heart. Imagine an architectural masterpiece, with its futuristic design and striking glass facades. But what if those glass facades were not flat, but elegantly curved? This was exactly the challenge we faced in the construction of the iconic Noordkade in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Here came the dilemma: The standard coating for flat windows was not suitable for these special requirements. But with close cooperation with the architect, we found the perfect solution. How gratifying it is to watch the projects that we visualized come to life as is the case of Havenkade, the highest residential development in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. For this future architectural complex we produced 3D renderings, panoramic tours and animation, entirely based on the powerful duo of 3DsMax and Corona, along with a billboard visual depicting the upcoming opening of the highest tower with a lightshow on its facade.
