Pantheon Espresso Bar

Pantheon espresso bar is one of the oldest and most central café bars in Pyrgos Helias, Greece. Our approach targeted at creating a strong identity of the store, combining ordinary material textures within a contemporary framework. The interior design is visually externalized to the public space (pedestrian street), setting the café as a landmark while creating a continuum between internal and external space. Caption The interior surfaces (walls, bar, lights) are covered with a “skin” made of familiar materials (plywood, black iron sheets, granite) processed with a contemporary way employing novel techniques both in terms of design (scripting) and fabrication (CNC milling machine, Plasma Cutter). Smarnakis Patisserie

The design for this project aimed at creating a contemporary image of the store reflecting the identity. Basic restriction was to re-use the existing devices (fridges) of the premises, in Pyrgos, Elis. Caption Based on these criteria and restrictions our proposal focused in the creation of a protagonist piece which occupies the main wall of the store and is visible from the exterior Caption The design of this surface derives from the abstract interpretation of the form of patisserie cream. We have designed a surface (9.5 m x 3.2 m) which morphologically is a continuous surface with gradual and fluid deformations which has been implemented as a series of consecutive steel profiles. Caption An austere two-color pallet was us... もっと見る

Anemos beach bar

The proposal aimed at the formation of a unique identity for the café Anemos Kourouta through the design of its interior implementing a singular system in its internal envelope.  This was pursued by the creation of a continuous inner “skin”, which derived from wind flow diagrams and was based on the name of the café (Ανεμος is wind in Greek). This interior surface covered the interior walls with a total length of 45 meters and surface of 230 m2. Caption The structure is a composite multi-leveled surface that extends gradationally upwards, towards the interior. The frame was composed by curved steel beams and the cladding was made out of orthogonal wood pieces with a gra... もっと見る

Morphosis completes titanium clad convention center alongside the Yangtze river

Morphosis was inspired by the flowing curves of the Yangtze river that were echoed in the undulating roof. The titanium roof paneling refers to sunlight shimmering on the water surface. Fangfang Tian The building program is divided into a horizontal conference center and a vertical hotel tower with 340 rooms overlooking the river. The site’s boundaries shape the building’s wavelike form. Fangfang Tian The north side of the tower, facing the city, utilizes a metal brise-soleil system that shades the building during the day and integrated lighting lights up in the evening. Fangfang Tian On the river side 90,000 distinct metallic panels make up a rippling metal and glass brise-soleil that mirrors the river edge.... もっと見る

Heatherwick turns derelict pier into urban oasis from hectic New York City life

Heatherwick Studio set the original brief to create a pavilion on an enlarged waterfront jetty aside for the opportunity to rethink what a pier could be. On top of the stumps remains of a former pier the studio realized a completely new park as an oasis away from busy city life. Timothy Schenck Typical pier structures are flat, but Heatherwick lifts the surface to create an exciting height difference. The elevation allows for new sightlines to the park and lookout points over the river. At the same time the lifted corner lets direct sunlight reach the marine habitat that formed over time in between the piles. Timothy Schenck   “We had the idea to make an entirely new type of pier as a lush rectangular garden island... もっと見る

White Alien

This is a residential interior design called White Alien designed by Amirali Bahmani at AAB ARCHITECT Studio in 2019. INSPIRATIONIn today's world, most spaces, including residential areas are not futuristic. The designer's goal was to create a unique futuristic space that would satisfy the needs of residents in addition to the visual appeal. PROJECT DESCRIPTIONIt is a residential conceptual interior design that fits the project's limitations such as area, floor to ceiling height, column location, shear wall, ceiling beam hanging, walls and installations. To make the space look simple and large, glossy white and black colors have been selected. Since the designer could not move up and down in designing the ceiling, a parametric two-dimensi... もっと見る

Two Spaces Two Moments

The pavilion 2 spaces 2 moments is the duality in which the outer space, the large scale space on everyone’s sight, captures the attention of pedestrians with a powerful yet small light threshold, inviting them to discover what is beyond, creating the first moment. The inner space is the second moment of the experience. Inside this small and quiet place made by a geometrical complex surface formed with more than 60 triangle pieces and 1,800 joints, 2 facing mirrors highlight the perspective inside the pavilion, while color and different kinds of lighting nurture this experience and create an endless loop of the inner space. The serenity of the pavilion contrast with the dynamics of geometry, perspective and fullness of color. もっと見る

Green House

In the past the living of human being has been besides the nature, but nowadays due to definition of architectural space for living in floors above the ground, this relationship has been almost gone. Also In the past 40 years, the greenery of urban landscape in north Tehran gradually has been missed under continuous constructions.   The main idea of this project was formed through an attempt to find an approach making the relationship with the nature stronger both physically and visually.   In project design process, wherever it was possible to create a green area, an appropriate detail were designed according to the limitations and criteria. Generally, except living spaces and circulation paths, all other surfaces designed to... もっと見る

Manta Hospital

Criteria such as universal accessibility and parametric design consolidate the Manta Hospital, the third healthcare center designed by PMMT Architecture in Ecuador. This new building is one of the most advanced buildings in the healthcare sector.   The Manta Hospital was built accordingly to the parameters settled for the “Fluid Hospital”, a typology created by PMMT Architecture whose conceptualization and design are the result of a standardized method that starts with an in-depth analysis of the metric that defines the building, enabling an important time reduction fort the design, construction, equipment and commissioning processes.   The new Manta Hospital, located in the coast of Ecuador, is the third healthcar... もっと見る
