A corporate floor of 700 sqm located in the JFL 125 Building on Av. Rebouças was the chosen space to host the new office of Superbid Exchange, a pioneering company in digital auctions in Brazil, whose corporate interior design project was entrusted to Perkins&Will São Paulo studio. Starting from the premise of welcoming clients and accommodating remote-first company employees in one place while providing a stimulating and dynamic environment to build relationships, the architecture team employed a circular program to enhance contact with natural light and the outdoor environment, creating a central core where a large arena was positioned. The Waldyr Beira Building, developed by Perkins&Will São Paulo for the Construtora e Incorporadora Pedra Forte, brings an innovative proposition to the corporate building segment. Located in one of the most valued regions of São Paulo's capital, Rebouças Avenue, the single-tower development has 22 corporate floors with nearly 6 meters of double-height. "This is a strategy to vertically expand the constructive potential while maintaining the floor area, thus providing a breathtaking view of the tree-lined horizon of Jardins neighborhood," says Douglas Tolaine, Design Principal of the studio. The Oblique Pavilion is an ephemeral space, configured in a 12x9 area, located between three access streets at an event fair. The proposal arises from this challenge: to design a pavilion without pre-established facades, that could dialog with all its views, as well as allow fluidity on all sides. As the years go by, customs and living arrangements change. Previously, the floor plans of residential apartments were highly compartmentalized, with various separate rooms divided by walls, a room for staff, numerous bathrooms, among other distinctive features. However, increasingly, the newer generations seek more open and connected spaces with fewer obstacles and a lively atmosphere. This is how we conceptualized this renovation project together with the young couple who owns this apartment in the Itaim neighborhood. On the ground floor of a 3-story building dating back to 1950, you will find Trifolium Flower Shop, a contemporary-style flower shop that opens directly onto the street, extending itself invitingly and closely to the sidewalk. Situated in the iconic Louvre Building, designed by the São Paulo architect João Artacho Jurado in the 1950s, we proposed the almost complete demolition of the existing masonry in the apartment, reorganizing the space, bringing openness, and adapting the program to contemporary dynamics. We aimed to pay homage to this symbolic building by using its colors in the project's composition. “The atlantic forest represents Brazil – more than the sea, the beaches and bikinis, more than soccer, more than a carnaval picture. To me it is the best representation of the brazilian landscape. For its proportions, its shapes, its diversity. This house is inserted in the forest and the wood covering tries to mimic it in the landscape – as if it was possible. The transparency, more than any aesthetic value, aims to justify the human presence in this place. The two projects made by the Studio converged on the goal to match the magnitude of the space in which they are located and the elements that surround it. The starting point of the project of this residence, in São Paulo, was the cobogó inserted in its facade and designed by Arthur Casas. Fernando Guerra The three-dimensional format of the covering preserves the view of the house's interior and provides privacy for the residents, a young couple with two small children. The rebar wall with a hanging garden on the side of the lot was designed to support the growth of vegetation, creating a pleasant green divider between the street and the house. Conceived on a plot of land with sea view in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, this residence was planned so that it would seem to glide over the vegetation, positioning itself as a wide observatory of the ocean. The original house had a nice layout and an interesting volumetry. On the other hand, the house still was in its original state, which happened in the 60s and needed an urgent transformation so that it could attend the new demands of the family and in its finishes to update the house to these days.
