Located northwest of Terrassa, Spain, CAP Can Roca by Forgas Arquitectes is a new healthcare facility featuring ceramic lattice facades that confer a unitary and friendly image while offering solar protection and privacy to the interior spaces and consultation rooms.

The facility has a built area of 2000 m2, spread out over the least number of floors to allow easy access to users and the optimal operation of healthcare activities.

Alongside this, the project offers 400 m2 of green spaces, connecting to neighborhoods north and south of the facilities and offering visual comfort, vegetation, and sunshine to users of the building.

The building takes on a clear typological structure in the form of a comb, with two prime longitudinal lines running in a north-to-south direction.

The western line is 14.2 meters wide and organized around three transverse patios that provide light and ventilation to all the waiting rooms and consultation rooms.

The eastern line accommodates the health education area and circulation space and a second story that hovers above the ground level and provides cover.

The architects note that the facility is designed with energy savings, environmental sustainability, ease of use, and maintenance being prime design considerations.
