Indian fashion designer Amit Aggarwal is known for his use of novel materials and the textures, transparencies and reflections he creates through custom fabrics and sculpted dresses. For the fashion designer’s latest flagship store in New Delhi, designers Orproject aimed to complement Aggarwal’s work by creating similar textures, transparencies and reflective spaces on a larger scale.

Based on the programmatic requirements of the store, Orproject designed spatial dividers in the form of partition walls across the space. Suspended from the ceiling, these walls are designed at an architectural-scale and made of waving fabrics with reflective material.

Like the flowing and evocative dresses of Aggarwal, these partition walls are likewise flowing, with the different curvatures and spacings of the panels creating a variety of different shimmering light effects. While moving across the room, light plays off the various reflections and visitors experience passing silhouettes.
