In Huesca, Spain, Masquespacio have completed a concept for a fine dining healthy food restaurant that offers a sensorial experience alongside gastronomy. Like the healthy fare on offer, the architects proposed at the outset to work with 100% natural materials and integrate concepts from nature into the design.

The Spanish design studio began their design process by investigating the province of Huesca, exploring the beauty of the mountains and parks in its surroundings.

The colour palette developed for the restaurant is inspired by the earth itself, with different tones of brown and whites as well as greens. A touch of gold is added as an accent.
Forms are mainly organic, using texture on the floor to emulate a path through the forest or a mountain landscape.

Terracotta is applied to the floors, bars and some of the walls with patterns designed specially by Masquespacio for Pukkel. Alongside the ceramic on the walls, rough stucco is applied to select spaces, the texture and natural quality being another reference to the earth and the mountains.
Finally, plants and flowers are used as highlights and change depending on the season of the year.
