At the Zurich Design Biennale 2021, AUTOS.ch and Stella Speziali unveiled NEBOLOSUS, an ultra-sensory, immersive experience utilising mist as an intangible, ephemeral material.
Located in the Old Botanical Garden in the centre of Zurich, mist flows delicately over more than 50 square meters of lush vegetation. During the day, soft clouds of vapour are in constant motion. After dark, the space is transformed into a digital phenomenon, thanks to projection mapping.
Boundary-less in feeling, the form is dependent upon the meteorological conditions of the present moment with the unpredictability of NEBOLOSUS making for a singular augmented-reality experience.
