UNStudio fitted a high-end clothing store in Amsterdam with curving glass window panels that mimic billowing transparent cloth. The storefront is a celebration of craftsmanship and geometry. UNStudio designed the facade and the interior of the two storey apartment above.

The three curving laminated annealed low iron glass panels are each assembled in the factory and mounted on site. The glass panels are bonded with structural silicone to the stainless steel window profiles. An 8 millimeter wide seam allows for tolerance between the glass and the profile.

Client Warenar Real Estate has built up a reputation with striking high-end storefronts with their Crystal Houses project designed by MVRDV in the same street in Amsterdam. UNStudio collaborated with facade engineers from Arup and Octatube acted as facade contractor to realize the fluid glass facade.
