The office of amir mann and ami shinar focuses on the architectural and urban design of a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from city planning, new urban quarters, residential neighborhoods as well as new office, commercial, hi-tech and public buildings. recent projects include the new american consulate general in jerusalem, commissioned directly by the us state department; a new international airport for eilat; an office tower and commercial center for the azrieli group; headquarters and campuses for high-tech companies such as hp in yehud, motorola, mirs and audiocodes amongst others in the new airport-city development; the central support and operations building at ben-gurion international airport and a residential tower in tel-aviv and more. amir mann aia, graduated the technion, israel institute of technology (1976) and harvard graduate school of design (1983), worked in boston for twelve years on a series of large commercial, office and public buildings, large scale historic renovation in the cities of lowell and charlestown, massachusetts, as well as health-care projects in the us, canada, australia and singapore. today, amir leads the planning and detailed design of the new eilat international airport, as head project manager of planning leading a team of 30 consultants. ami shinar aia, graduated the technion, israel institute of technology graduate (1975), worked for six years in boston on a residential complex in cambridge, massachusetts, hotels in mallorca, spain and florida among others. during 1990-91 he served as chief architect of the israeli ministry of housing, leading the planning of dozens of new neighborhoods and cities all over israel. today ami leads the design of a 50,000 sq.m. facility for the israeli navy in haifa, as well as the master planning of the cities of beer-sheva, ramla and the haifa waterfront project. the office has a branch in boston; both offices cooperate in a variety of international projects.
