Bgp arquitercura was founded by Bernardo Gómez-Pimienta in 2003 as a multidisciplinary bureau; located in Mexico city, it is dedicated to architecture, but also to industrial and furniture design. bgp arquitectura looks for a critical response supported by a human architecture, conceived for its residents like a reflex of their time. Bernardo Gómez-Pimienta was born in Brussels in 1961. He is director of the Architecture School at the Anáhuac University and member of the National System of Conaculta. In 1998, he was rewarded with the Mies van der Rohe Latin American prize. He has also recieved more than eighty other national and international awards. He has been designated honorary fellow by the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. He has also been appointed emeritus member of the National Architecture Academy and decorated Chevalier de la Légion dHonneur by the French Republic.
