Founded in 1960 in Fagagna, in the province of Udine, Pratic S.p.A. is at the forefront internationally in the design of bioclimatic pergolas and designer awnings, which stand out for their refined aesthetics, technological innovation and innate qualities of environmental sustainability.
Managed for over sixty years by the Orioli family, the company has revolutionised the concept of solar roofing. Since the patenting of the first canopy, Pratic's solutions have constantly evolved, giving life to advanced sunscreens that enhance the outdoor environment in every season and put the individual and his or her wellbeing at the centre of design and incessant research and development.
An excellence expressed through ambitious outdoor realisations, destined for the residential and hospitality sector, where Pratic awnings and pergolas sign the most elegant international dehors. Thanks to 1,200 dealers worldwide, the brand brings to every latitude the quality of structures that are always made to measure and one hundred per cent Made in Italy, designed to offer the best performance in use and, at the end of their life, to be sent for recycling.
Characterised by the use of clean energy and renewable raw materials, Pratic's entire production cycle is integrated in the spaces of its headquarters: an architecture of over 27 thousand square metres in the name of design and sustainability. A perfect combination of design and technology, celebrated by the most important magazines in the sector as an example of industrial architecture capable of integrating and adding value to the territory.
Pratic's roofs in fact combine the aesthetic and functional dimension with the objective of promoting the psychophysical health of those who use them. It is no coincidence that, for years, the company has been involved in the ‘Open air mind’ cultural project, which opens up the design scenario to new applications involving neuroscience, psychology, emotions and cognitive processes. Five annual studies, carried out in collaboration with the IULM in Milan and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, have in fact investigated the role of light, colour, shapes, beauty and biophilia in relation to the human brain, in the field of architectural design. Results that the company makes freely available, to create an authentic ‘culture of the open air’, as its pay-off has always expressed it.
In 2023, the company will take a new and decisive step towards growth, by joining StellaGroup, a French group that is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of window closures, building access systems and outdoor sun protection.
