project A01 architects is a design firm based in Vienna, Austria with approx. 25 employees. Owner and founder is the Austrian Architect Andreas Schmitzer, who has been teaching interior design at the Technical University of Vienna for several years. 2001 Architect Maria Planegger joined the office as a senior partner. The company was established in 1997, oriented towards high end design. Since then various projects in architecture and interior design have been completed. This initiated a broad and positive response and brought public recognition as a top quality design company. In the last years several international projects focused the team more towards a larger architectural scale. Currently projects around the globe are under development. Additional offices have been established in Salzburg, Austria and Kiel, Germany focusing on Real estate development in Salzburg and on interior design and product design in Germany. Currently the office in Vienna is working on a number of interior design challenges with high end charakter and several large scale and urban development projects as well. Until 2013 more than 240 projects have been developed in different scales. The largest project is the highest residential building (500 appartments, 150m high) in Austria, to be built in the next years. There is a high grade of public attention on this project called „Danube Flats“ in Austria.
