SOGO AUD is a Tokyo based architecture and design studio headed by Akira and Mami Sogo. Prior to starting their practice, the two used to live in California, USA as a Fulbright grantee, and returned home in 2009. Akira has worked for architect Chiaki Arai, and handled several projects from public facilities to dense skyscrapers. Mami has worked for architect Akira Koyama, and handled various projects form individual residences to multi-tenant buildings. The two do believe that architecture still has plenty room for improvement through analytical approaches to design, construction and humanity. SOGO AUD aims for architecture working rather than architecture as an artwork.
