Office AT is an architectural design firm, established for 20 years. The former office building was a home office, which not only to be used as an office, but also as a house for executive’s family. Both the office and house areas are in need of expansion. Therefore, a new house and office building has been designed and divided into 2 phases.
In phase1, there will be a 31/2 floors office building, used as a steel structure. The 1st floor is used as a meeting room, the 2nd floor and the mezzanine floor are offices, and the top floor is an multipurpose room, used for various activities such as exhibition or some sport activities etc. The front of the building has an extra length to facilitate parking below.
The car park is designed so that there are no columns to obstruct while parking by using steel structure extended from the mezzanine to expand the cantilever structure further. The front of the building also has a main staircase that can be used as a place to relax and have some variety of activities, such as informal lectures or movie screenings, etc. In addition, this staircase uses folded steel to make it lightweight, and people in the office have a clearer view of the outdoor context. It became the highlight of the building.
As of phase2, it will be the 3 floors house of the executive family with a courtyard in the middle between these 2 building, connecting the space of the house and the office building together.
