Located in the city of Ningbo, this residential interior investigates how textures, while often attributed to the natural finish of materials, can be re-introduced by the act of sculpting and articulation of walls and design objects. Our project draws inspiration from the modernist ethos and the artisanal sensibilities of the Arts and Crafts movement, where synthesis of materiality, craftsmanship, and spatial poetics informs our approach. This French Arch house, expressing a French mood through arch-shaped designs, is a 90PY apartment where elegance and classic charm coexist. The client wanted a home that fully reflected the lifestyle and dreams of each family member. Accordingly, the overall space embodies an exotic and romantic French atmosphere, while the husband's relaxation area was designed in a Zen style, emphasizing serene beauty. The project was developed by expanding the apartment's social space, integrating the living room and kitchen and creating a visually unique space by demolishing one of the bedrooms. Felco The layout of the three bathrooms, which make up the same nucleus in plan, was partially altered to bring more comfort to these environments. The volume of the toilet has been relocated to the entrance and, together with the white cobogós, forms a small hall. The project consists in the renovation of an apartment in a historical building in the center of Milan. Originally it was a flat of about 210 m2, which was divided into two independent individual units. Focused demolitions allowed the creation of a spacious living area, the main and common space of the house.
