Zaha Hadid Architects revealed as designers of the new Alisher Navoi International Scientific Research Centre
In New Tasjkent, Oezbekistan, zal het Alisher Navoi International Scientific Research Centre van Zaha Hadid Architects het Navoi Staatsmuseum voor Literatuur, het Auditorium, het Internationaal Onderzoekscentrum en de School omvatten. Het ontwerp van Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) wordt gekenmerkt door gewelfde gevels die zijn ontleend aan de plaatselijke volksarchitectuur en boeiende interieurs die zijn gemaakt van bakstenen die in plaatselijke ovens zijn geproduceerd. Bovendien zorgen de passieve ontwerpprincipes die de architectuur leiden voor optimale omstandigheden voor de bewoners van het gebouw met een minimaal energieverbruik.

Zaha Hadid Architects completes Masaryčka building in Prague in firm’s wonderfully idiosyncratic style
Zaha Hadid Architects heeft het Masaryčka-gebouw in Praag (Tsjechië) voltooid, een nieuw architectonisch herkenningspunt dat onderdak zal bieden aan de snelgroeiende bedrijfssector van de stad. Masaryčka is een kantoor- en winkelontwikkeling die bestaat uit twee verschillende volumes, met zeven verdiepingen in het oostelijke deel en negen verdiepingen in het westelijke deel. Het Masaryčka gebouw omarmt Zaha Hadid's wonderbaarlijk idiosyncratische, deconstructivistische architectuurstijl met zijn opvallende, vloeiende lijnen en een vorm die de wetten van de fysica lijkt te tarten.

Zaha Hadid Architects’ Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre echoes chevron patterns of migratory birds
Het Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre, ontworpen door Zaha Hadid Architects, wordt gekenmerkt door de futuristische vloeiende lijnen en de vloeiende rondingen van de veelgeprezen architectuurstudio. Het expressieve ontwerp weerspiegelt de chevron - V-vormige - patronen van trekvogels die in formatie vliegen. Het Civic Art Centre is door de studio ontworpen als een “centrum van hedendaagse creativiteit” en ligt in het hart van Aviation New City, een grootschalig urbanisatieproject in het Jinwan-district van Zhuhai in de provincie Guangdong in het zuiden van China.

Holcim and partners launch Phoenix, a pioneering and circular 3D printed concrete bridge
Het in Zwitserland gevestigde wereldwijde bouwmaterialen- en aggregatenbedrijf Holcim heeft Phoenix gelanceerd, een baanbrekende en circulaire 3D-geprinte betonnen brug. Zaha Hadid Architects shortlisted for the 2nd Sejong Cultural Centre competition in Seoul with a compelling nature-based concept
Zaha Hadid Architects is geselecteerd voor de 2e prijsvraag voor het Sejong Cultureel Centrum in Seoul. Het meeslepende concept van het bureau voor het cultureel centrum is diep ingebed in het natuurlijke landschap. Het verbindt het bestaande Yeouido Park met de Han Rivier via een dynamische reeks onderling verbonden openbare binnen- en buitenruimtes die de lokale gemeenschap nieuwe openbare pleinen, tuinen, weiden met wilde bloemen en bosschages bieden. Een zacht glooiende daktuin die uit het landschap oprijst en een panoramisch uitzicht biedt over Seoul en zijn historische rivier, zorgt voor een groots gevoel van drama.

Zaha Hadid Architects complete the new 295-metre Jiangxi River Bridge
In Chengdu is de nieuwe 295 meter lange Jiangxi River Bridge van Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) nu klaar. De brug is ontworpen voor autoverkeer, fietsers en voetgangers en is de eerste van een reeks bruggen die gepland zijn langs Chengdu's heringerichte West Line Road, die deel zal uitmaken van de Airport New Town Ring Road en Cycle Path in zijn herontwikkelde staat.

De symmetrische brug is ontworpen met behulp van geavanceerde structurele analysesoftware en bestaat uit twee primaire stalen bogen die aan weerszijden van het wegdek oprijzen. Zaha Hadid Architects to proceed with Daxia Tower in Xi’an
In Xi'an, een van de grootste steden in het binnenland van China, heeft de Daxia Group aangekondigd dat Zaha Hadid Architects zal werken aan de nieuwe Daxia Tower in de bloeiende ontwikkelingszone van de stad.
De eerste renderings van de architecten laten een toren zien met een licht gebogen silhouet, geaccentueerd door lagen beglazing met patronen en dramatische atriums die het licht tot diep in de vloerplaten brengen. Een cascade van beplante binnenterrassen doet denken aan watervallen op berghellingen, waarbij elk atrium is georiënteerd om te profiteren van een panoramisch uitzicht op het historische noorden en oosten van de stad of de hightech zone in het zuiden en westen.

Zaha Hadid’s curving Business Stadium Central in Vilnius to begin construction
Business Stadium Central by Zaha Hadid Architects has received approval from the City of Vilnius to move ahead. Integrated into the municipality’s urban plan, the curving proposal will offer a variety of new public spaces and amenities along with flexible workspaces designed to foster interactive collaboration. Construction is anticipated to commence in the second quarter of 2023.

Striatus: ETH Zurich’s Block Research Group collaborates with Zaha Hadid Architects to develop efficient, accessible, and sustainable tools for structurally informed design
ETH Zurich’s Block Research Group (BRG) seek to disrupt architectural construction technologies through using a geometry-based approach to tackle complex structural design and engineering challenges and to develop efficient, accessible, and sustainable tools for structurally-informed design. In collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects’ Computation and Design Group (ZHACODE), 3D printing innovators incremental3D, and sustainable infrastructure evangelists Holcim, they have created “Striatus”, a 3D Concrete Printed (3DCP) arched pedestrian footbridge showcasing a high-tech take on traditional masonry. Striatus is currently on public display as part of the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale.

Defined by intuitive navigation, the station connects the neighbourhood with all of Moscow via the city’s expanding metro network. New digital platform informs the design of the Roatán Próspera Residences by Zaha Hadid Architects
For the Roatán Próspera residences, Zaha Hadid Architects with AKT II and Hilson Moran Partnership have developed a new digital architectural platform. Located on the island of Roatán, one of the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras, the platform was key in developing housing with a specific ecological and social response to the climate, terrain, and culture of the region.

Leeza Tower
Located on Lize Road in southwest Beijing, Leeza SOHO tower anchors the new Fengtai business district - a growing financial and transport hub between the city centre and the recently opened Beijing Daxing International Airport to the south.
