What do lighting, acoustics and interior decoration have in common? Together with Bazir, Orbit teamed up in the development of a ground breaking and novel decorative range of 3D shaped acoustic luminaires. This is the inspirational concept designed by BAZIR.
With the combination of acoustic engineering and beautiful light design, this range improves the acoustic comfort in areas where people work, live and meet. The acoustic absorption is realized using an open cell foam made from melamine resin. Sound waves are not reflected but penetrate the open cell structure unhindered. Sound energy is reduced and transformed into warmth energy. Its 3D structure allows broad spectrum of design possibilities, which gave birth to a series of suspended and wall mounted luminaires, named: ACO SNAP, MACARON (wall), GLOBE, SLANTED and DONUT.
