Nowadays, more and more Europeans are also using water to clean themselves in a natural and refreshing way after using the toilet. With the new Geberit AquaClean Sela, Geberit, Europe’s leading manufacturer of sanitary solutions, is introducing a new shower toilet that is impressive not only for its sophisticated technology but also for its stylish design. This is the work of the well-known Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun. He has designed a new shower toilet that is compact yet elegant and has already won several design prizes.

“My approach to the work was that I wanted to design a shower toilet which would fit into almost any bathroom as easily and naturally as possible,” says Matteo Thun. His success in achieving this is reflected in the many plaudits and awards that the design has attracted. It is simple, stylish and looks just like a normal toilet, creating a new dimension in WCs with integrated shower function. The Geberit AquaClean Sela is a successful example of the art of the invisible: all the technology is encased within the ceramic unit and concealed by a compact housing.

Winner of three coveted design awards The juries for the prestigious design prizes “iF product design award”, “Interior Innovation Award” and “Design Plus powered by ISH 2013” were also impressed by this cutting-edge design: the Geberit AquaClean Sela won all these awards, recognising both the product design and the sophisticated technology that enable this shower toilet to be incorporated inconspicuously into any bathroom, just like a conventional toilet.

Experience the Geberit AquaClean sensation Nowadays, the idea of personal hygiene without the use of water is completely inconceivable – there’s nothing to compare with that fresh feeling after a shower. With the Geberit AquaClean Sela, you can experience this pleasant feeling of having been thoroughly cleansed by water after you have used the toilet, too. At the touch of a button, you can enjoy that very special sensation of cleanliness which inspired the name of the product: “Sela” is the name of the pure and refreshing spring from which the river Inn rises in the Upper Engadine valley in the Swiss mountains.

Kind to the environment too The new WC complete solution cleans you gently and effectively using a soft jet of water mixed with air. This not only makes the cleaning feel pleasant but also reduces energy consumption. At maximum spray intensity, just 0.5 litres of water are used in the pre-set spray time (20 seconds). Furthermore, like all the shower toilets from Geberit, the Geberit AquaClean Sela meets all European Ecodesign standards and, thanks to its energy-saving function, also only uses minimal energy in standby mode.

High-quality materials The toilet seat and lid on the new Geberit AquaClean Sela are made from sturdy Duroplast and integrated dampers enable quiet opening and closing. The ceramic unit has a dirt-repellent surface and offers an above-average flushing performance. The shower toilet also has a comfortable, ergonomically designed seat.

Intuitive to use The latest Geberit AquaClean model is really easy to use. The shower function can be started, the intensity and position of the water spray adjusted and the oscillating function activated either from the toilet itself using the easily distinguishable buttons on the control panel, or using the slim remote control device.
