The XR luminaire series from BÄRO:

Performance and lighting quality with a compact design

Planners and users need professional lighting tools – tailored to the format, dimensions and requirements of each individual shop design project. The XR luminaire series from BÄRO comprises spotlights, semi-recessed luminaires and suspended luminaires with very compact dimensions and a high-quality design that can hold its own against any competitor when it comes to performance, lighting quality and versatility. Fields of application range from the classic food sector to near food products, shops and boutiques in the textile and non-food sectors.

The compact luminaire head made of die-cast aluminium combining high-quality design with optimal LED heat management is the design element that all the different variants of the XR luminaire series family have in common. As Ontero XR spotlights for track mounting, Intara XR semi-recessed luminaires or Pendiro XR suspended luminaires – the XR series always combines innovative technologies such as hybrid LED lighting technology for maximum light quality with a contemporary, attractive design, a wide range of light distribution patterns and the LED standard and special light colours for which BÄRO is known.

Highly flexible turnkey system

Not only does the luminaire head with a diameter of just 90 mm offer high lighting quality and extremely compact dimensions, the format of the driver electronics is also configured to the compact luminaire design. In the Ontero XR spotlight the driver electronics are accommodated in the redesigned power adapter which features a potentiometer for individual adjustment of the brightness in the 34 W variant. In all variants of the XR luminaire series the thermal separation between the luminaire head and the driver ensures optimum operating conditions for the respective components. The modular structure of the electronics has already been designed for future enhancements such as sensor or transmission technologies. Important details for use in retail premises are the large pivoting and swivel range thanks to the redesigned supporting arm made of die-cast aluminium and the possibility to mount the spotlights on vertical tracks as well – for example in shop windows.

Careful attention to detail

The ceiling mounting piece for the Intara XR semi-recessed luminaire is slightly concave to enable a slightly recessed position of the luminaire head coupled with a minimum fitting depth. The mounting piece is made of high-quality die-cast aluminium and no tools are needed to mount it. The Pendiro XR suspended luminaires can be ceiling-mounted, track-mounted and BÄRO also offers the Intara XR mounting piece for recessed installation.

For the power supply to all three variants of Pendiro XR BÄRO uses an elegant, transparent coaxial cable. For the models for ceiling surface mounting or with a 3-phase adapter the canopy does not only accommodate the driver electronics, but also surplus suspension cable if need be. This means that the suspension height is reversible and can be adjusted from 2,000 mm to

1,000 mm. The XR luminaires series ist available in the standard colours strato black and strato white. As distinctive eye catchers in the store design suspended luminaires are also available in RAL or NCS special colours or with trendy and striking metallic surfaces such as copper, gold or nickel.

Hybrid optics with innovative silicone lenses

BÄRO is launching the XR luminaire series with five different light distribution patterns. The NarrowSpot, Spot and Medium characteristics are fitted with the LED hybrid lighting technology – a combination of aluminium reflectors with silicone lenses. The precise, highly transparent and heat resistant 3D silicone lenses produce a particularly balanced contrast between the focal point and the corona of the light cone. Less light is directly emitted and up to 50% more light reaches the target surface in a controlled manner via the reflector facets. Supplemented by the wide-beam Flood and OvalBasic light distribution patterns, this comprehensive and highly flexible system enables planners and users to create customised retail experiences that are efficient, effective and emotional – with a consistent and high-quality look for the individual luminaires.

Light colours and lumen packages geared to specific applications

The LED modules with the power ratings 15 W, 23 W und 34 W achieve luminous efficacy of up to 142 lm/W and useful luminous flux of up to 3,940 lm. In addition to the four standard light colours with 2,700 K, 3,000 K, 3,500 K and 4,000 K BÄRO also offers the colour-intensifying LED spectrums "PearlWhite", "BeColor" and "BeCool" for this product family, enabling the XR series to create a customised light and colour balance for every retail project. BÄRO XR luminaires are also extremely well-prepared for use with modern light management: they are optionally available as a dimmable version with integrated DALI interface.
