The transient ("breathing") decentral ventilation unit FVPpulse permits complete thermal air treatment of non-residential buildings, incl. filtering, dehumidification and heat recovery based on the patented ventilation concept LTG PulseVentilation. The unit breathes in fresh air from the outside and expels used-up exhaust air, with the exhaust heat being transferred to the cold outdoor air in winter with highest re-heating values. The decentral units permit easy implementation of individual energy-saving operating methods by the room or group, since they can be operated controlled by demand in the areas in which there actually is a need for fresh air. The transient ventilation leads to good mixture of the room air at very low air speeds and permits high fresh air volumes (on average approx. 120 m³/h) at outstanding acoustics. In contrast to conventional decentral ventilation units, the FVPpulse only needs one opening in the façade, a shut-off valve and a fan. An internal valve system switches between supply and exhaust modes without short-circuiting the flow. The devices need fewer parts than conventional decentral ventilation units and have more compact sizes at the same output. They are available both for false floor and railing installation.

Innovation as compared to the market:

• FVPpulse is the only decentral ventilation unit with transient ("breathing") operation for energy- and resource-protecting demand-oriented ventilation and offers the first economically efficient alternative for central air conditioning concepts.

• It is the only unit on the market that can fulfil the requirements of the ErP directive (Energy related Products) for non-residential buildings regarding heat recovery degrees and undercuts the required minimum for the SFP (Specific Fan Power) of the EnEV (energy saving regulation) 2014 by a factor of 10.

• In contrast to a conventional decentral ventilation unit, the FVPpulse does without separate air ducts for outside and exit air. Instead, it uses a single fan and only one façade-side opening, switching cyclically between the in- and exhalation functions with a valve system.

Technical aspects (consumption, acoustics, sustainability, …):

• High energy efficiency through room- or group-specifically demand-controlled operation and highest reheating values of up to 90%

• Clear reduction of the unit-internal pressure loss reduces the electrical power intake to less than 10 W

• Air conditioning with high ventilation effectiveness and thermal comfort through (transient) impulse ventilation

Ecological aspect:

• Only 50% of all components are installed (resource protection and sustainability in production, maintenance and disposal)

• Decentral ventilation means that no air conditioning centre, technical rooms or duct system are necessary (lower floor heights, reduced building costs, efficient room use)

• High energy efficiency through demand-controlled ventilation with heat recovery up to 90% (the special feature: The regenerator cannot freeze even at low temperatures).
