Tate®, a market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of raised access flooring solutions, brings the natural beauty of hardwood to its expansive and exciting selection of raised access floor finishes. Introduced at NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2009, Tate’s engineered hardwood tiles are a natural wood wear layer bonded to an Albasia wood backer board. Available in two standard patterns, the finish is made from reclaimed timber waste that can equal up to 90% of the wear layer. The 100% Albasia wood backer is a rapidly renewable tropical species that is compressed and laminated into vertical ply. The surface of the tile is coated with a High Solids oil that penetrates deep into the wood providing a durable finish. Tate’s engineered hardwood tiles also contribute to good indoor air quality. The VOC-free tiles do not require harsh chemicals. Routine maintenance is a simple process of sweeping and damp mopping with oil soap. The floor’s botanical oil finish allows the wood to breathe, absorbing and neutralizing odors while allowing moisture and humidity to escape. The floor’s absorbent veneer further contributes to noise reduction. The specially designed access floor finish is factory laminated to the access floor panels and features a top beveled edge for easy installation and removal within the floor grid. Ideal for lobbies, executive offices and other building spaces that require a high-end finish, the hardwood tiles still maintain the versatility and convenience that an access floor offers.
