the history of minotticucine began in valpolicella, near verona, in italy. for the first twenty years the activity of the company, that was founded by adriano minotti, was devoted to the production of doors, window frames and furniture. in the latest sixties, the market starts to be more specialized, that’s why the entrepreneur decides to put his production in the kitchen field. for about thirty years modern kitchens were manufactured, following the model of american kitchen. in 1999 adriano left the company management to his son alberto, who promoted a strong change of style, through an evolutionary planning path, in the highest market sector, of what we define the “mediterranean minimalism” and “essentialism”.
opera signs for minotti cucine
on june 1st an agreement to acquire the business unit of minotti cucine has been signed by an investment vehicle owned 100% by fondo opera italia, managed by opera sgr.
with opera, minotti cucine exits the financial crisis in which it entered last year. the industrial plan safeguards the historical industrial factory of ponton and 21 resources that will be part of the business unit after a union agreement was signed in the last few days.
the deal is in line with opera’s investment strategy that focuses in italian solid companies with core competences on product excellence, design and strong presence in international markets.
