In analogy with the adsorption refrigerator of SorTech, even the Hybrid Chiller works with excess heat as a driving force. The advantage of the Hybrid Chillers is: By coupling with compression, the machine works more precise and efficient. This supplies completely new possibilities for the adsorption refrigeration. While this previously was used only in the lower power range, the adsorption refrigeration now can be used in completely new areas with enhanced coefficients of performance due to the parallel operation with a compression refrigerator.
