Kalwall is the most highly insulating diffuse light transmitting composite system available. The primary component is a translucent structural composite sandwich panel formed by permanently bonding specially formulated fibreglass sheets to a grid core constructed of interlocked extruded thermally broken aluminium I-beams. In between the I-beams, a range of possible densities of glass fibre insulation or Lumira, to optimise U-value, light transmission and solar control. The panels are factory pre-fabricated to the exact size end configuration for each project and can be flat or curved giving total flexibility for both walls and roofs. U-values from 2.7 W/m²K to 0,28*W/m²K are available (*with Lumira).
