Enhance your outdoors with the beauty of nature but the performance of contemporary outdoor flooring. Millboard decking is unlike conventional composite decking. Hand-moulded from natural timbers in a unique combination of resin and mineral stone, it is almost indistinguishable from real wood, yet designed to outperform it.
Because no composite decking is made in the same way as Millboard decking, no composite decking can match Millboard’s stunning good looks or exceptional performance.
Most composite decking combines plastic with wood fibres. But Millboard decking is made from wood-free polyurethane combined with mineral stone to create a unique resin mineral board that’s tough enough for use in outdoor environments all year round. One of the most stable resin materials, it won’t warp or rot, and there is minimal movement in the boards. And because it has no wood content at all, there is nothing that can be affected by damp or attacked by insect larvae.
Many composite decking boards are formed by extrusion, where the raw materials are mixed and forced through an opening that determines the shape of the end product. Millboard decking is hand-moulded from original timber, then hand-coloured by our craftsmen, resulting in a far more authentic wood finish – you’d hardly know it wasn’t wood without close inspection.
Lost head fixing
In spite of its unique composition, Millboard decking is easy to work with and can be sawn and cut with standard woodworking tools. No pre-drilling is required for fixings, and Millboard’s unique Lastane™ surface even seals itself back over the heads of our special Durafix® screws to create a clean ‘lost head’ effect.
Millboard comes in two different product collections; Enhanced Grain and Weathered Oak.
- The Enhanced Grain collection is moulded from selected smooth timber that provides a stylish dignity, with hand colouring recreating the subtle nuances that only natural wood can give. Highly durable with exceptional anti-slip properties, each of the shades showcase the grain beautifully.
- Beautifully aged and utterly timeless, our Weathered Oak collection is moulded from 100-year-old reclaimed oak timber, and hand-coloured with authentic tones. Providing an instant worn look, it retains its natural beauty for decades and offers an almost maintenance-free surface with very high slip-resistance.
