John Cullen’s new Polestar AmbiDim LED downlight sets a new standard for energy-efficient lighting. It is the first LED downlight to successfully produce a crisp, white light at full brightness and a soft, warm light when dimmed.
Up until now, most LED downlights typically give off a flat, rather grey and cold light when dimmed. Some manufacturers have tried to counter the problem by adding a colour filter – but that only results in the light being too ‘warm’ whenever it is turned up and distorting the colours in a room. The genius of John Cullen’s LED Polestar is that its AmbiDim technology ensures that it gradually ‘warms up’ as it is dimmed. This enables it to mirror the quality of light produced by low voltage tungsten halogen bulbs (lamps), that we know and love.
Combining all the advantages of John Cullen’s Polestar downlight with the ground-breaking AmbiDim LED technology sets a new benchmark for LED downlights. Compliant with new Part L Building Regulations, it also has three beam widths for a diverse use throughout the house. The unique technology is currently being rolled out through the range of key John Cullen products
