The “Parabólica” hanging lamp, selected for the ADI-FAD awards in 1973, was designed by Joan Antoni Blanc with the intention of achieving a lampshade with an ideal geometry to project light efficiently. The parabola is the most favourable manner for this purpose, as long as the interior light source is correctly located, which is a condition that forces create a superior space for its incorporation. The fusion of these two concepts configures the silhouette of the “Parabólica”.
