Kim and Charlotte love to cook. They select a few, good ingredients and put them together to make simple, authentic dishes with a surprising little twist or two. The same goes for the interior design of their newly built villa-with-a-view in Stensballe near Horsens in Denmark. The finest materials and products have been combined to produce a simple and exclusive style consisting of raw details and surprising twists. A raw, concrete staircase leads to a large open room with panoramic views of Horsens Fjord, open fields, forests, the city and the sky. This is where the kitchen, office, dining room and living room melt into one enormous, functionally divided living area where the family live and enjoy their day together. The white of the kitchen island emits a light and airy feel in front of the large, picture windows. The kitchenette, in elegant and stylish black oak, adds warmth to the room with its subtle graining and interacts with the coarseness of the concrete walls.
