The Tempio terracotta tile rain screen or ventilated facade system offers a wide range of aesthetic qualities for building facades. The numerous advantages include improved thermal and acoustic properties, extended warranty periods, low embodied energy ratings, ease of installation, non-combustible fire rating, and sustainable production processes.
All Tempio high-profile tiles were originally custom-made for specific projects. Now, they are available as standard tiles because Tempio has kept the custom dies used for their production. These tiles, along with the custom fixing systems, were created in collaboration with project architects, DCA Facade Systems, and Tempio's Technical Team. All Tempio Tiles can be customized to preferred designs or shapes by creating custom terracotta extrusion dyes, showcasing their flexibility in design.
Ventilated or Rainscreen Facade systems are currently the preferred choice for architects, facade engineers, builders, facade contractors, and developers. This advancement in facade technologies ensures high-quality outcomes not only in terms of aesthetics but also in non-combustibility, thermal and acoustic insulation, and most importantly, long-term weather-tightness for the building's lifespan. A Ventilated Facade system consists of a waterproof/vapour permeable Rigid Air Barrier (RAB board) or frame wrap on the exterior of the frame, forming the back pan of the cavity.
Installation
-Installation of the façade substrate, typically manufactured in aluminum
-Installation of an open façade system that allows moisture to penetrate the façade whilst at the same time allowing fast and efficient drying of the internal cavity area.
A prominent manufacturer of ventilated façades
At Tempio, ceramic ventilated facade systems are manufactured for new or renovated buildings that require facade cladding, thermal or acoustic external insulation, or wish to improve exteriors visually. Rigorous work is done in preparing the clays, manufacturing, glazing, and firing the ceramic panels. High-range extruded stoneware is created, which is easy to install and has no maintenance cost. As a Spanish-based company, it works for architects who consider ceramic facades to be a combination of design and functionality. Hence, work is done jointly, ensuring quality and contributing to the company's experience in many international projects.
