THE SAIL OF COLUMBUS is a combination of vertical and horizontal curves and unique plays on thickness through which it appears to be suspended above the ground like a sail raised by the wind. It has been manufactured in CrystalPlant with Nicos International, designed by Alessandro Russo, designer and co-founder of Vanixa. This spectacular wall-mounted element being presented by VANIXA at the event in Milan this year is not just a unique piece, it is a work of art.

Giuliano Grittini has customised the piece by adding a stylised drawing of “Lenoardo's Horse” in gold-leaf on the inner surface.

The brazier underneath has moving lights which create a "lava" effect moving from one side to the other, which reflects on the horse and "animates" it by giving the effect of movement.

"La Vela di Colombo" (The Sail of Columbus) is manufactured entirely in Italy and may be customised with internal decorations on the customer's request, or remain in its original clean and stylish white.

Young, artistic, modern. It captures the attention with its colours and hypnotic and psychedelic finishes. A true "cult" object, combining an ancient element such as lava with its contemporary design. In addition to the lighting and movement effect, on request the brazier may also have a heating effect, scent system (in collaboration with Oikos Fragrances) and crackling embers sound effect, turning it into a multi sensory installation in hospitality areas as well.
