The multi award-winning 060 Round-head shower continues the lineage of VOLA’s design principles established in 1968 by Arne Jacobsen. With a perfect circle intersected by a line the 060 is a testament to craftsmanship and pure materials. To ensure the shower retains its exact cylindrical shape, every shower head is made from a single disk sliced from a solid 600 kg cylinder of raw material.
As well as making products that last for generations, water conservation is equally important to the VOLA commitment to sustainability. The Round-head shower can deliver as little as 15 litres of water per minute at 3 bar pressure.
From each rod 43 round showers is produced. In the design of the shower head it was important to position the nozzles away from the surface so that they are recessed within the structure. This way, the recognisable VOLA principle of hiding the functional parts is maintained.
The 060 round-head shower was one of the products that the late Kerry Hill used within Amanyangyun, the luxury resort and hotel just outside Shanghai. He said: "Simplicity, precision and material honesty are the timeless qualities we strive for in our work. VOLA’s tapware is born of the same ethos and we have found it to be a perfect fit for Amanyangyun’s interiors.” Kerry Hill (1943-2018)
