The owners, a middle-aged couple with two teenage daughters, were looking to develop a renovation project of an apartment located in the central region of Florianópolis, Brazil. They found our firm and identified with our style. Because of this identification, the team was free to use many colors and prints throughout the apartment, from the entrance hall to the floral curtains in the dining room and the wallpaper in the girls’ bedrooms.

The renovation did not bring major changes to the ground floor, which maintained its four bedrooms, one of which is used as an office/guest room. The biggest change took place in the living room, where the balcony was integrated into the living environment, forming an area of about 55m². Another integration was between the kitchen and the dining room; the wall that divided these rooms was demolished, giving way to panel doors that fully open.

At the entrance, shades of pink and the works of Rodrigo Cunha and Juliano Aguiar prepare for the next areas of the home. The bathroom, right next door, mixes classic elements, such as the sink and mirror, with the colorful geometric patterns of the tiles. The living room, although more sober, highlights the magenta sofa and patterned armchairs (the fabric of which is repeated in the curtains in the dining room and library). The walls are adorned with works by Rodrigo de Haro, Fernando Lindote, and Juliana Hoffmann.

The daughters’ bedrooms have the same layout, sporting different colors and prints, according to each one’s personality and individuality. In the double bedroom, blue is the primary color, combined with the walnut tone of the panels that cover the bathroom, creating a sober and relaxing atmosphere.
