The interior design project for this apartment, still under construction, was an opportunity to create a personalized and welcoming space for the client. Upon visiting the building site, we realized that the great quality of the property lay in its privileged view of the city and Lake Guaíba in the background. This landscape should be the protagonist of the project, and with the possibility of adapting the internal layout, respecting structural limitations, we began the creative process.
From the outset, we sought to meet the client's desire for an apartment with the feel of a house. To achieve this, we opted for warm and textured finishes, such as brick, wood, and concrete, creating a predominant and cozy color palette. The project's premises included an integrated kitchen and living room and a home office that could also serve as a guest room, providing functionality and comfort for both daily life and hosting family and friends.
In the social area, the spacious living room prioritizes the lake view, with a large bench by the window inviting one to enjoy the scenery. The kitchen, organized around a central island with a cooking area and dining table, is delineated by exposed concrete pillars. The workbench by the opposite window features a multifunctional wet channel, serving as a dish drainer, herb garden, and cooler on party days.
A corten steel shelf, embedded in the wall, supports the turntable and travel souvenirs, while a slatted louro freijó wood shelf houses the barbecue, bar, and cabinets, unifying the space. In the private area, the suite with an integrated bathroom provides an unusual experience, with showers parallel to the window that frames the sunset. The office, which also serves as a guest room, has an exclusive bathroom in white tones, contrasting with the warm palette of the rest of the apartment. These interventions result in a personalized, functional home full of the client's stories and personality.
