TO DESIGN LOVE
The apartment (located in Sofia, Krasno Selo district) covers 140 square meters and includes a living area that combines a living room, dining area, and kitchen; a master bedroom; two children’s rooms; and two bathrooms. The family who lives here, with two children, radiates harmony, positivity, and joy. It’s families like this that choose Dada Project Studio to design their new home. The trust placed in them demands a special moral and professional commitment—to not only find the best interior solutions but to also "design love." To create a design that reflects the family’s relationships, allowing their unique bond to resonate within the space.
With great care, they make adjustments to the architectural layout of the apartment.
Following a clear concept, we coordinated the balance between the dominant, unique design and catalog products (from the Interior Dada Showroom on I. Denkoglu Street, No. 2). Additionally, we balanced materials and textures, color schemes, and lighting. This approach achieves "consistencies" that distinguish each room and each individual setting while preserving the overall structural features and the sense of an open space!
AN APARTMENT WITHOUT CORRIDORS
The deconstructive concepts in the project "eliminated" the entryway and the wall between it and the living area, along with the corridor leading to the bedrooms. By shifting the drywall partition wall 15 cm along the path from the master bedroom to the children's rooms, they created space for a library. The sliding glass door of the wardrobe transforms into a decorative panel that extends into a backing for the coat rack. Flush doors blend into the walls, integrating the corridors seamlessly into the main living area.
SPACE – "THE STAR OF THE INTERIOR"
The sense of unified space is enhanced by the flooring. Specially selected in both color and texture, the parquet flooring is consistent throughout the entire apartment, creating cohesion between the shared and private areas. Another key element is the ceiling—spatial comfort is achieved through carefully chosen lighting systems. Functionally distributed, these lights highlight individual zones and settings, establishing distinct lighting atmospheres that harmonize within the overall space. The undisputed favorites are the pendant lights, which add rhythm and act as sculptural art pieces. The highlight is a suspended ceiling—a metal ring with a stretched mirrored fabric. This circular feature adds value, balancing the geometry, while the “fun reflections” create an intriguing scenography.
FROM THE ENTRANCE DOOR TO THE "VIEWPOINT"
Upon entering, the linear lighting channel that guides us to the terrace highlights this longitudinal axis deliberately. This axis is the compositional element around which the furnishings are arranged. The effect is further emphasized by the "eclectic" fusion of the kitchen with the TV area, and the elongated design of the dining table reinforces it. The table's countertop offers additional space for food preparation. Beneath it is a wine cooler built into a mobile unit with wheels, allowing it to be moved to create space for extra seating.
The opposite wall features a wallpaper with a rich textile texture, providing a backdrop that highlights the accessory and shoe cabinet, and a drink bar with doors that open 180 degrees and a pull-out countertop. Their distinctiveness is emphasized by framing in metallic structures that echo in a "musical" rhythm—a design detail also found on the coat rack and dining table. This leads to the remarkable minimalist and comfortable sofa with pull-up leather upholstery. Nearby, a surrealist painting by Nikolai Panayotov serves as the perfect art focal point.
The children chose the colors for their rooms themselves.
When discussing the master bedroom, the parents’ initial response was, "just a bed and wardrobe." But they received a special "gift." In a 16-square-meter space, we created sculptural compositions of panels and metal that, when reflected in the wardrobe, multiply the perception of space, transforming it into a "parental living room."
The bathrooms stand out for their porcelain tiles, chosen from the latest collections of top brands, and are unified by translucent stretch ceilings.
