The investor's idea of the interior of the apartment in the new building was very definite and specific - a large number of open spaces used for exhibiting souvenirs from the travels, airy and spacy rooms, plenty of storage space and pleasant material interior. However, the existing layout of the apartment was too staid, impersonal and unwieldy, so we agreed to radically transform the entire apartment layout.
We decided to abandon the convention of a rectangular layout of the apartment. We wanted to create a visual connection with the exterior straight from the entrance - the main viewing axis from the entrance door through the living area to the terrace. This created a gradually expanding corridor spilling into the main living space, which is completely designed with wood - on the floor, on the walls and on the ceiling. Within the wooden cladding are hidden doors to the rooms and there are located niches for storing souvenirs from the travels.
