Meeting Room for the Federal District Government

JSa Arquitectura as Architects

The Meeting Room is located on the rooftop of the Historic Downtown Authority building; it has unique views to both, Templo Mayor and Zocalo.

This room has a terrace, a garden area, bathrooms and a warehouse and it extends over the entire rooftop. The room was built with steel profiles, glass walls and ceiling and solid wood-plank flooring. The metallic structure simplifies changing the level of the ceiling and allows using the different levels to place louvers for room ventilation. To avoid the room to heat up and to generate shadow in the interior, an aerial photo of downtown was printed on the ceiling, providing the space with a special quality.
