The alabaster cube bar is formed by two rows of ten alabaster cubes each, which are purposely misaligned to follow the whole concept of the bar. For its creation, 29m2 of alabaster and 24 meters of LED to backlit the cubes were used.
Alabaster New Concept has developed a technology to protect the alabaster against the usual activities that occur in bars and restaurants. For that, the top of the bar was treated to get shock, scratch and liquid protection. A minimum metal guide was used, as the alabaster cubes were stable enough to keep the structural integrity.
La T Gastrobar is a tasting-menu restaurant located in the center of Madrid. It was designed by Triscaideca studio.
