Sir John Betjeman described Bedford Park as “the most significant suburb built in the last century, probably in the western world”. Standing proudly in Bedford Park, Bedford Park Mansions was first occupied in 1901. A suburban development within the London Borough of Ealing, built by Jonathan Carr, Bedford Park set a precedent by creating a self-contained community.
As part of an external project to refurbish the front and rear forecourt surfaces, and improve surface water drainage SureSet completed an installation at this magnificent building in April 2015. Over two days, six men installed a 517m² turning driveway using 6mm Chocolate Natural Aggregate to complement the famous red bricks of Bedford Park. As well as delivering an aesthetically pleasing, smooth, durable surface suitable for vehicles, the permeability of SureSet has dramatically improved surface water drainage
