The silhouette of the original farmhouse served as an inspiring starting point for the new design. Both situation and size on the plot as well as the characteristic kink in the roof were preserved. The side façades are designed as recognizable volumes and provide room for all support functions. These volumes are kept pure and abstract by continuing the bricks onto the roof. For the transition of bricks from from wall to roof, JagerJanssen applied braided masonry. A proved historical solution, which can be frequently observed in the surrounding area. The in-between living area can develop and transform as desired.
