Aida Sniraite, the owner and interior designer at “Authentic Interior” design studio, has created an elegant apartment in Paris of 160sqm for a client who loves collecting art and is passionate about vintage furniture. Located in a dreamy Chaillot area near Passy Water Reservoirs and Arc de Triomphe, this apartment is filled with natural light and offers views straight to the water.
The project was a real challenge for the studio, as they could not do any structural work there. However, Aida has accepted the challenge to create a beautifully curated apartment for the family.
In line with client brief, Aida Sniraite has created a space that accommodates sourced collectibles including art, sculptural dining table and curated vintage furniture. White walls, classic mouldings were perfect canvas to indulge in contrasting materials as well as playing with shapes and colours. High-end pieces marry vintage ones, creating a discreet modern luxury.
Dining room table has been chosen as a statement piece, a true artwork. Minimal Scandinavian chairs and a dreamy suspension complete the space. Dining room armchair has been chosen from the same artist as the table as a statement piece.
In the sitting room, “Authentic Interior” design studio has boldly married aluminum Wassily chairs, bronze sculpture, marble-brass coffee table, copper decorative light, candle holder. A vintage rug connects client’s already owned sofas and completes the space. We can see that mixing different types of metals is possible and recommended.
The office has been designed airy and clean. Inspiration has been taken from the existing white office desk and orange vases. Shelves have been chosen white so that it blends with the walls. Books and accessories, vintage orange chair, artwork and beautiful table lamp have been chosen in blue and orange to make a complementary statement on blank canvas.
The bedroom has already been equipped with furniture. Finished it up with the original artwork, beautiful linen curtains and table lamp .
Teenager room's theme is inspired by the tropics and this is the most colourful room from the whole apartment. Vintage sourced wardrobe, side tables as well as a table lamp, handmade Jujus make a perfect colourful statement on the white walls.
