A new warm-tones dermatology clinic opens in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
A gym at the Centre Médical du Haut Richelieu was transformed into a state-of-the-art dermatology clinic. The clinic's dual function (consultation and phototherapy) promised an organizational challenge in a compact and highly windowed space. The head dermatologist was looking for a warm, yet ultra-functional space to ensure the comfort of patients without compromising privacy needs. Mission accomplished! The new clinic hosts six consultation rooms, an operating room, four phototherapy booths, two closed offices, a large reception area with waiting areas and a relaxation room for employees.
Three main rounded-shape volumes respectively host the reception area, the phototherapy booths and the consultation rooms. In addition to forming visual landmarks, they structure the circulation flow. They are arranged in such a way as to separate the comings and goings of
patients from those of the staff. The warm tones of the lime plaster in the reception area and the red oak in the woodwork distinguish each volume while warming the atmosphere. In contrast, the opalescent glass partitions of the phototherapy booths with their turquoise curtains surprise with their smooth, glossy finish. Bright and joyful, the architecture of the Clinique du Haut Richelieu ensure a pleasant and efficient environment for patients and for the healthcare staff alike.
